Anderson Club 15 Year 1996 Bottled - 750ml
1996 Anderson Club 15-Year-Old Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey is a charcoal filtered bourbon that was distilled at the old Heaven Hill distillery in Bardstown before it burned to the ground on November 7th, 1996. A rare and aged bourbon that was exported to Japan in the 1990s.
Fueled by high winds the fire started at Warehouse I. By the time the firefighters had arrived there was little to nothing that they could do to prevent the destruction. The devasting loss would amount to the onsite distillery building, 7 warehouses, and approximately 100,000 aging barrels. The fire would go down as the worst disaster in bourbon history. The "prefire" designation refers to either bourbon that was distilled or bottled before 1996 fire.
